Whenever i start my pc my mouse pointer goes crazy and flashes here and there on the screen. After sometime it starts behaving in the normal fashion.Sometimes it alligns itself to the extreme right or left side of the screen and only moves vertically.Only way out in this case is to restart the system using the keyboard.I have made sure that the connection is not loose.

Please help.

This is often one of the signs of a virus infecting your system .Do you have virus protection and are your virus definitions up to date .Run a full H.D. scan !
Good Luck Nick

I don't believe you have a virus or need Adaware and etc. First check your mouse connection and then clean your tracking ball.
If that doesn't help then replace your mouse with a known good one. If that works purchase a new mouse. If it doesn't work reinstall your mouse driver from your "CD"
