I'm having a problem as per this (http://www.computing.net/windowsme/wwwboard/forum/45871.html) thread, to sum up my problem is this...

---------------

"ok, just lately my comp locks up and it goes crazy. during the 1-4 second freee, it presses many of buttons. sometimes it even shuts the mouse or keyoard off. they still have lights, but won't work until a restart. spy-bot didn't find anything. any suggestions?"

"I formatted, and it seemed to work... But I started getting this bug again just now. Now I am well and truly stumped. As I said, I don't think it's a hardware failure, but I'm open to the possibility. But why both the computer and mouse at the same time?

I hope I provided enough information to lead to a solution :/

Thanks for the help."

-----------------

I started a new thread because the other one seems to be kind of dead. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks again.

One DOS game i play messes up my mouse driver AFTER i quit the game (switches right and left buttons). Does this occur AFTER running some program? Could be some mouse driver has bugs if so.

Other than that i would suspect "ghost in the box".

Best

I have the same problem. I was advised to replace hard drive, I did and no improvement. Any help out there?
