I am using a Microsoft Intelli Optical and everytime I am using it, it just locks my pc. I have all drivers for it. Im running windows ME. I have reformatted many times and still locks up comp... when ever i use another mouse, my pc works great... any sugg's

use another mouse, or try the logitech driver for their optical mouse, it works better with win-me then ms's mouse sftwre available at http://www.logitech.com

Yes i have tried another mouse any my pc works perfect... no freezes..... it started to happen a weeks ago when i got my new mobo

i am having similar problems. my mouse frequently goes haywire scroll allover the place, then freezes. my pc still works but my mouse is frozen. sometimes my keyboard does the same thing. i also have the intellimouse (web) ball not optical. in an attempt to describe my situation i will provide an example. any game i play online or off. im playing when all of a sudden my weapons switch on their own, i spin around in one spot uncontrollably, and what ever buttons i was pressing at the time stay down until pressed again. or my mouse and keyboard freeze and i am stuck doing whatever was last inputted. my pc doesnt freeze tho so i can usually watch my death as i walk forward (usually the last thing i was doing)into a wall, off a cliff, or into the waiting arms of the ct's.

another_jacklol, i have the exact same syptoms during gameplay. I hate it, so much that i uninstalled the games. hl/tfc and wolfenstein. It made gameplay a nightmare. I have been looking through these forums to find a fix it or advice on it. not much luck. Seems it's fairly common with ps2. It did the same thing on my old machine, i was running win98 though. anyway, if anyone knows of a cure or quick fix. Please post it. thanks, Ken
