Mouse and keyboard freezing...

My mouse (Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical[not wireless]) and keyboard freezing at same time. Mouse's light goes off. Keyboard's light don't goes off but it freezing too. Problem starting with freezing sometimes and finally they freezing completely and all programs on background working fine. I don't know when problem started.

Had very same problem on and off, intermittient, then totally. Trouble was the mouse. Purchased a new cordless Logitech Mx70 optical and everything now works great.
