I am trying to run the old game Mysteries of the Sith on my HP Pavilion with a 1gig Athy, 256meg ram, ATI A-I-W Radeon card, running Win ME. The install goes fine but when I run the game, the cutscenes fly by with no sound. Is there anything I can do to fix. I have checked all the sites that I can think of for a patch. An interesting note is that the Jedi Knight game ran fine on the same system. Thanx in advance

If it is a DOS game you might try a boot disk but I doubt it will work. The game needs DOS sound support and your sound card can only emulate it so far.

Try running DXdiag, do this by clicking on your start menu then clicking on run then typing in dxdiag. You might also try downloading DirectX 8.0

some of the old games find the newer cpu's just too fast for them. they were made for older and slower machines.

Well I tried both. I check the DXdiag and all was cool. I downloaded ver 8.0a for Direct X. And everything seems to be OK. The cutscenes will start to show correctly for about 1-2 seconds and then the sound cuts out and the scenes zip by. I have tried playing with the Raedeon tweaker to get the settings right. Still no help.
Help!
