I have a dell dimension L866r, i got this computer from a friend. When I turn it on the monitor, keyboard, and mouse dont turn on. I've tried different monitors also. When you push the power button on the tower the keyboard lights flash real quick and they dont work after. I can hear the HD running though. Theres also a small orange light on the motherboard which turns on when i plug in the power cord, does that have anything to do with it?

Have you checked with your "friend" to confirm that the machine did indeed work before it was given to you?
