Monitor Shutdown

CPU/Ram: AMD600m/Hz
Product: Advent 3000

After downloading latest drivers from Nvidia for my new FX5200 graphics card plus direct X9.0C. My Monitor shuts down imediately after start up.

Help would be gratefully received.

Try pressing F8 while computer boots up to get into Safe Mode.Uninstall the video driver from Add/Remove Program.Reboot normally and install driver.Reboot.

Not sure if the FX5200 will work with one of the older Nvidia unified drivers for Win ME (I use one from about 2003 with DirectX 9C) but you may find that once you've uninstalled the new driver go to Nvidia's archived drivers & try an older one.
