Can anyone tell me if my monitor is going? All of a sudden I am getting greyish horizontal lines running across my screen wherever there is text or a graphic displayed. Can this be fixed? I am using a 19" KDS Visual Sensations monitor.

Try updating your video and monitor drivers.

Hook the monitor up to another PC,and see what happens.

If it is gone,it would more likely than not, cost more to fix it then it would to buy a new one.

Are there "shadows" on any kind of contrasting-colored items on the screen? I had a monitor that did this, and eventually the monitor started turning strange colors and emiting an odor. It was new, and still under warranty, so a replacement was free.

Check to see if the Refresh Rate is set to Adapter Default or Optimal by going to Control Panel > Display > Settings tab > Advanced > Display Adapter tab. If it's not set to either of those, try setting it to Optimal, and if the screen goes blank for more than a couple seconds, hit enter. Then set it to Adapter Default if that happened.
