I have two computers. The first one Celeron 466 with Lucent Win Modem 56K is always connected to the ISP at 52000bps and its OK. Another one P4 with Fax Modem Olympic Int. 56K PCI (Conexant) is connected max at 33600bps. I use the same phone line. How to speed up connection? Q2: When click on "Favourites" tab in Internet Explorer to save the web site, my FDD starts. Why? Thanks in advance Mike

Mike, try this site and play with the init strings, sometimes they help crappy conexant chips. If you have to have a conexant get the semi hardware version. My preference is the USR. http://56k.com/inits/a2z.shtml KJ, how could Mike have two modems on the same line?
