I've got two HDs, the one I'm using now and another one that I formatted and reinstalled ME on. Ok, the installation went fine except that it is not locating my modem. It's not even in Device Manager. How could this be? I've gone in to try and install it and of course it wants the proper driver and it seems all my software doesn't work as well. The software I have is: Drivers and Utilities for reinstalling PC99 Data/ax/Voice Modem for Microsoft Windows, the Reinstallation CD WME, Dell Demension Resource CD which includes Device Drivers Diagnostics and Utlities (this is for the video and audio).

Now, the HD I am using right now of course as you can see has no problem. The modem is there. I went into the device manager on this HD and located the driver and went back into the other HD and it isn't there. I've formatted and reinstalled twice on that other HD. This is very frustrating. My modem is a Conexant HCF V90 56K RTAD Speakerphone PCI Modem and it did come with this computer. Any ideas? Why during reinstallation did I lose my modem and it didn't reinstall? Thanks!

I went to conexants website and found the drivers. I had to download winzip then I downloaded the file and unzipped it and saved it to my A: floppy so that when I switch HD I can run the drivers from A: Well, it didn't work. I wasn't sure it would work anyway.
