My modem will not work I do not have a driver I don’t even have a make or model so that I can download the driver there is nothing indicated on the modem itself. I have tried system info on Me to see if it will detect it but no joy I have also tried belarc advisor.

Easiest way is to open up the case and see what's written on the modem.

If Belarc Advisor and System Information tools did not identify the chip set of the modem card, and the System Device Manger does not show anything useful about it, and Windows ME does not detect it being added and/or removed, then its broken. Your SOL.
Go buy a new one (and make sure it has drivers and installation instructions.)
