modem 90109 unrecognized

I added new RAM to a Pavillion 6380 and a new CDRW drive. Now the modem (part # 1648T00 PCI 90109 modem)is not being recognized by the device manager in Windows ME. Any ideas on what I should do?

I recommend you do the following: remove it from the Device Manager (completely), shut down your computer, open the case, carefully swap the PCI modem into another free PCI slot. Now, start up your computer and pray that it's fixed the problem...
