Specs: Windows ME
I was wondering if any knew of any mobile broadband dongles that work with Windows ME?

I am wanting to buy a pay as you go dongle for a relative for christmas, and I thought I would try some that I have at work to make sure they work before buying one. I tried the T Mobile 120 and 150 dongles.

The 150 dongle would not even install the software.

The 120 dongle installed the software, but when I tried to connect, it said the operating system was too old.

I then contacted T Mobile, who said that as long as the dongle would work with 2000 as long as it has service pack 4 installed. My questions are as follows:

Is Windows ME the same as Windows 2000? If it is where can I get service pack 4?

If it is different, does anyone know of any mobile broadband dongles (PAYG) that work with ME?

Thanks to anyone for help!

"Is Windows ME the same as Windows 2000?"

Not even close. WinME is basically an "improved" Win98...WinXP is an improved Win2000.

The chances of finding a dongle that will work with Win98/ME are pretty slim. Tell your relative it's time to upgrade the operating system to something a little more current. In fact, it's probably time for a new computer.
