In Win98 you could always run a system file checker for missing or corrupted files. How and where can you do this in WinMe? If you can. Thanks for any help.

Iam curious as to why microsoft did away with SFC in WinMe ? In doing a search on .log files I noticed a 670K.B..log file called setupapi.log that has alot of info on the loading of files at differant times it was created at install of WindowMe by the OEM ,and was modified as recently as 2/2004 ? Anyone know what this .log file is for ? Thanks Nick

Go to run -> type "sfc /scannow" (without quotes). Make sure the WinME CD is in the drive when doing so.
