I'm having problems with my HP Printer and HP help line have advised me to download Windows installer, but I keep getting this error message

The Windowsinstaller-KB884016-V2-X86[1]-exe file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:NT open process token

Can anyone help me?? I have searched microsoft but I don't know really what I'm looking for??

At any rate, that poster was using Win98 - SFC isn't actually in WinME (of course) - but files may be extracted from the CD using that Windows version's msconfig feature: 'extract a file'

I don't believe the two situations are comparable, as the file in question (KB884016-V2-X86[1]-exe)is not from the ME installation disk

It does sound like an incompatible version though:

Version 2 of the Windows Installer is more appropriate for WinME
