Missing Export NTDLL.DLL

When my Compaq Presario boots up it comes w/ a message "The PSAPI.DLL file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:NTCREATEPROFILE". What am I suppose to do? How come i get an NT message if my OS is ME?

hello did you install any soft ware recently? your system free of spyware? d/l spybot search and destroy update it run it. allso it may be a recent install of soft ware that it ether did not completely install or instald some files to the wroung directory,. have a nice day

My computer comes up with this same message on startup, except for the end part says :NTALLOCATEVIRTUALMEMORY. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

Try this:
run MSCONFIG, select the STARTUP tab and if you have these files uncheck them:
I don't know what these files are, I read somewhere on the internet that they are spyware and/or adware. I'm not brave enough to delete them (in case they are not) - but unchecking them seems to fix that startup error message. My surfing seems to be a little faster too. :)
