Comment: When my system boots, (Windows ME), I receive an error message that APPS.INF file is missing. When I click OK, I can still use my system. Where can I download this file without using my recovery disk?

Reply: (edit)you should be able to extract a copy:
start-run-type in msconfig-click ok-click extract file-type in apps.inf-click start-
in the where to restore from field type in c:\windows\options\install
in where to restore to
c:\windows\inf
click ok
