Im having a problem with my microphone working. I checked the mic input and plugged the mic into the socket all the way. The sound recorder just isnt recording any sound. I also did check to make sure the mic control was not muted. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have any noise, hiss or static?

I recently bought a brand name computer mike /headset combo that was a very high impedence (mic was 600 Ohms) and cost about $45. I got a very soft recording unless I shouted. I then bought a "no-name" $12.95 set.. with a much lower impedence... works perfectly!!!!

Joe,

Hi I have a soundblaster live value with that same problem I'm kinda wondering if it isn't a bad driver because I know in my case I can open up the sblive mixer when it's like that and all my levels will go down everytime I close it. Please let me know if you find out anything thanks
