Mfc42.dll error message

When I try to open "my computer" or any explorer window, NOT internet explorer, I get a mfc24.dll error message and I need to close and the message says to restart computer to fix error which of course does not fix the error. How do I fix this mfc24.dll issue? Thank You!

if you have system restore turned on, do a system restore from a date preceding the start of this message. sounds you dl'ed jupiter somehow?? Al
