Like a previous poster, I am using ME and Norton Utilities. When I try to unerase using Norton, I get the message "Unexpected values found in the Recycle Bin data file." I'm wondering if it is an ME-Norton incompatibility, or just some file corruption. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Norton, de-activated and re-activated the Norton protection, all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Please c/c me offline at davidf4ATnetzero.net as well as posting your reply here for others to see. Thanks.

I have ME & Norton without problems.
As a side note, it's not a good idea to post your E-mail address on the net 'cos there is always some idiot who will spam you.

I also have Norton Utilities and have had no problems except I found thousangs of 0K.K. files created in my .inf folder went to norton and they supplied a fix and told me not to have the system docotor running when going to the Windows Update site ! That was some time ago and i imagine they have fixed the bug by now .The Norton Protedted Recuyccle Bin saved my butt a couple of times when I deleted something I should not have ! However you must remember unless you always keep it activated ,some of the items you deleted fromthe recycle bin may have been over written ? Also I wonder about alot of times when I ran system scan and it found obsolete register entires and recomended they be deleted ,if that is why Iam now having probs with cetain apps Iam runnig ,and then my following advise on deleting .log files etc, may not have been such a good idea ,ow when I cant uninstall certain apps because of missing install.log files ? I was always worrying about wasting hard drive space ,yet aftr almost 5 years I still have 23 gigs left of a 30 gig drive !
Take Care Nick

Don't know if this will help or not:
Right click on the Recycle Bin icon, click Properties, change setting to Standard Recycle Bin
