Memory Virus?

Comment:
When I get into WinME and use the "CHKDSK" command at DOS Prompt it says I have 651,264 total bytes memory..
Shouldnt that be around 655,000 total bytes. Someone already told me that I might have a boot sector virus or something that is causing my drives to be in ms-dos compatibility mode and the cause of my cd-rom not showing up at all.
I have scanned with AVP and Vexira and they havent detected anything. How else can I check for a boot sector virus?

You need to scan from DOS mode using a recovery floppy.Norton and AVG have this option as do many others. This floppy MUST be made from a known clean machine however. Jimi_l
