Memory upgrade problems

In my earlier post I asked for suggestions on a problem with internet access following a memory upgrade (see +memory - internet). Well, for a while at lunchtime, I got my access working - but then I couldn't access the CD roms drives (didn't show up in Windows Explorer, were there at start-up.)
