I keep getting errors while trying to open programs up, It says this cant be done because there is not enough memory... Is there anyway to free up memory on your computer? It say i have total physical memory is 383.26 availible PM is 12.46mb total VM is2.0 GB Availible VM is 1.42GB sandy

It would be much more helpful if you could relate the specific error messages and circumstances - - for a fact, 384Mb of installed RAM is more than abundant for nearly any version of Windows
"VM" (virtual memory) is not much of a factor, and merely indicates the amount of drive capacity available for the Windows swap file, if needed

Agreed - - but that may be a separate issue, as Windows will normally free up RAM as required by swapping.
Numerous links on fine tuning ME have been posted, as it may benefit a little more from 'tweaking' than most versions
