when in media player,if i drop down File(top left)at the bottom is a list of vidio clips such as the sample vidio, plus ones i have downloaded,which i have deleted'proberbly wrongly'and i cannot delete these names.plese help

Close media player/ Click Start button/Run/ type in regedit and hit ok.
Navigate here.....

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\RecentFileList

Right click delete the unwanted entries.

Make sure to close media player or the entires wont be deleted.

Here you can learn about/download a free program called listzapper. It will allow you to delete the lists created in mediaplayer and a few other programs.
