Me Won't Boot Up HELP!

I hace a compaq persario with Windows ME. It gets to the ME part but won't go any further. It won't even boot in safe mode. I have tried rescue disks with no luck. Please help!!!!

pop in your start up diskette , select the boot log. View it and look for a device that has failed to load .. if you find any then press CTRL + ALT + DEL and reboot still using the diskette. select to manually load the device drivers and just select no to the failed device. Should help ... with start up devices that screw up the boot sequence hope it helps

Sorry, I don't have a fix but I'm having the same problems as you. Safe Mode doesn't work, freezes on Windows Me screen, or get various error messages on the "blue screen of death". Happens at different times such as after defrag or loading new software. I have been dealing with problem for months and have no answer.
