You know the topic's out there... so what're your opinions on the matter? I currently have ME with 128MEGS of SDRAM, 1.0GIG AMD Athlon Processor, and a 40 gig hard drive. I'm running ME okay... but I find that memory wise... well, bluntly it sucks.

As I mentioned, I have 128 MEGS, right? Well on an average basis I usually only have about 5-10 megs available. Even when I reboot I still only get about 20 at the max. I'm getting a lot of suggestions that I should move to Win2K. What are your guys thoughts?

Thanks

if you dont have any problems dont worry about available memory... memory on computer is ment to be used and to be swapped... but for windows ME 128 is the bare minimum... get another 128 stick and set your swapping file to about 300 megs min and max... and set "conservative swapfile usage 1"

You have lots and lots of space.
Why not partition that hard drive and dual boot.
Then you can decide.
