You will need to make sure that you have all of your hardware drivers backed up to a CD, you will need to locate the ME code key and write it down. That way if things don't go well, you can go back to ME. Then put the XP CD into your CDROM and reboot your computer. On reboot, during memory check, toggle the keyboard key that gets you into the BIOS setup screen. Navigate to the Boot Order and set your first boot device to CDROM. Hit F10 to save changes and exit and then you computer will reboot again. This time it will boot from the XP CD. Let setup start to run. You will have to hit F8 to accept the EULA and then it will stop at a screen that shows your partition information. You want to delete the partition. Then create the partition, then Format the partition. Once that is done then you can proceed to install windows XP. Then reload all of your drivers and you are back up and running.
Good Luck.
