2 questions: 1)Can I create a start-up disk like in '98? And are the commands the same; for instance...sys C: to transfer the files to C:
2)If I goto run and type setup.exe......when it does the re-install...will it overright all of my programs, folders, desktop, etc? (Can I even do setup.exe in ME?

1. i dont know. You can create one in add and remove programs or download one at bootdisk.com.
2.you can run setup from the install folder C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL\SETUP.exe. This will over write the existing windows files but shouldnt touch your software or data.
You might have to reinstall the software so the registry sees it.

In ME, you are not able to do SYS C: on to the hard drive until Windows is installed.
And you cannot run FORMAT C: /S as you could with previous Windows.
Summary: I tried to format my WD Hard drive and it asked for my ME start up disk and came back with 8 partions for a 20gig drive and said that 2134gig was the largest size partion it could make. I put in a win...
Summary: I cant seem to get my Me start up disk to work... can anyone tell me where to down load one?? I am installing a new hard drive, so I am unable to make one like you can if a OS is in place... ...
