Reply: (edit)Somethings you might try. 1. Do a Start/MSCONFIG and uncheck some backround programs. DO not uncheck scanreg, systemtray, statemgr (system restore). Try running without your virus checker for awhile. This will increase you rescources. 2. Do a start/controlpanel/system/performance/click on graphics and slide the hardeare acceleration down a notch. See if the computer runs better, if not try moving it down somemore. 3. Press Alt + D when the error message is on the screen. It is susposed to tell you what it means, or you can get the error codes meaning through the MS knowledge base.

Reply: (edit)I think "OSA" is a Microsoft Office program. I would uninstall office and see if the computer runs ok. If it still does what it does now, never mind.

Reply: (edit)go to google.com and enter these error messages in the search bar, it will pull up everything you may need to know. Are you running AOL 5.0 or 6.0 on your system? If so, be aware that me and aol 5 and 6 have a compatability problem. You can down load the patch you need from http://support.microsoft.com/support/KB/Articles/q272/0/16.asp also, if it has been six months or more since your last format, then back up your personal files and perform an fdisk, format, and reinstall. After you have completed this, remove ghost drivers from safe mode and remove optional items from your startup menu in msconfig.

Reply: (edit)before you do the reformat, try to reinstall windows into a different subdirectory... that way you will keep your data, but you will have to reinstall your programs.... in any case back up before doing anything regards Miro

Reply: (edit)I have an Asus A7V board with an Athlon 750 Thunderbird and 256Mb ram. Flashing the bios chip and updating ME from the MS site completely cured ALL my freezing problems.
