Subject: ME Install Failure
OS: ME
CPU/Ram: 256 MB DRSDRAM
Model/Manufacturer: Dell
Comment:

I had to do a clean install of ME. All went OK until the first restart. As soon as boot began all I got was two beeps and the following messages: Strike F1 to try reboot or F2 for Setup. F1 only produces the two beeps and the two messages, F2 enters setup but then what? The 30 minute initial load seemed OK but it wont reboot into ME. Any suggestions? Thanx

It appears you have a weak CMOS battery or
Your video card is not seated properly.

I am assuming you have a good error free windows ME install disk.

Problem was caused by incorrect boot sequence. Changed it from floppy to HD and it booted fine! Thanx
