After loading Norton Utilities, my ME system is hanging-up every time on start-up with the Desktop Wallpaper showing, but not the icons. It shuts-down properly. It will not start in Safe Mode, and I can't access the C: from a Windows 95 boot disk ( from the A: ) so that I can deal with what I think is the problem. The system won't boot from a CD. CTRL-ALT-DEL shows that NPROTECT & CSINJECT (Norton programs) are running, and CSINJECT seems to be "not responding". I need help figuring out how to access my C: so that I can deal with CSINJECT. All help would be greatly appreciated.

hello
from boot disk type in sys c: it should than say system transferd than remove boot disk click ctrl, alt, delete to exit boot disk. and it should boot to windows.
you may have to delete norton from dos boot disk if this dont work. to get the proper dos comands to delete norton you might try posting in dos forum.rennisaunce man most likely know this comand.
i would give you the ones i know but they might remove to much or the roung things.i,d use them on mine.but i got ghost copys of my drives not a big deal if i wreck or delete to much.
try these see what goes.

hello
i got one you can do to neutralize nortion .
try with boot disk in and running type
scanreg /restore
and pick a valid date befor norton was intstald.a valid one will have started beside it.
you have by defauld 5 days worth of registery back ups. and each new day a new back up so do this to day.
this will remove norton from the registery. and it wont run you should get in m.e after that

Your Windows 95 diskette must be real old and does not support Fat32 partitions. Find another boot diskette that does, 95 OEM or 98x, or ME boot diskette.
Make one on any Windows system 98/ME system you have access to. (Add/Remove Prograsm, Startup Disk)
Any chance you picked up the W32.Klez.h virus? One version kills anti virus programs, hangs the system if you try to reinstall nortons and prevents you from booting into Safe Mode. Look for Wink*** modules in the Startup list, if you can get to it with a newer boot diskette.
