I am trying to access a shared database over my vpn for work. When I map to the network drive I need to log in as a new user and put in my user id and password. XP has an option to log on as new user however I cannot seem to figure out how I can do it on ME. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. thank you

Sylvia Holmes, bear with me, run XP so this's from memory. Seems I recall that if one looks at the start button menu, you have the option to sign off the current user and log on as another??
HTH.

Hi Ed in Tx,
That did not work either. I have even tried deleting all *.PWL and setting up the identical user name and password I use to log onto the network at the office.
