I've been having problems when I go into Windows ME Help and Support Menu. For some reason, when I try to read some of the help topics, my Norton Anti-Virus comes up and says Alert: Malicious script detected. Your computer is halted and needs to do something about this script.
So then I have to stop the script. The file is HELPCTR.exe
I was wondering why this is happening? What can I do about it so I don't keep having this problem?

You could disable script blocking in Norton's options and see if the problem still exists. Right click the system tray icon>configure Norton antivirus>script blocking, take the checkmark out of "enable script blocking", click apply or okay, whichever is available.
If this works, install and enable a script blocker such as ScripTrap and leave Norton's script blocking disabled and see if ScripTrap gives a similar message.Have you applied the critical Windows ME Help & Support update that was available a while back? Maybe Norton is detecting the vulnerability that that update resolved?
I doubt that (and I doubt there is any real problem, probably a false positive that may be excludable through Norton's options? what version of NAV do you use?), but you may want to run some online virus scans; here's one that uses Panda software but might not be as busy as the main site:

Disable Norton antivirus (right click system tray icon>disable) while the online scan runs.
BTW, if ScripTrap doesn't detect a problem you might want to leave NAV's script blocking disabled and use ScripTrap, nice.
