Make Windows forget the password

Comment:
My windows used to remember the password of a certain webmail account. Yet recently I changed the password, and for increased security I answered "No" when it prompts me to set it to remember the new password. However, the old passoword keeps poping up everytime I enter my username.
I want it to remember nothing regarding this particular account. What should I do?

I believe Windows passwords are stored in .pwl files. If you search your PC you will find two of them. You can open each one using notepad to see which one has the offending stored password.

This method didn't work. Is there any other ways?
(PS. And there is only 1 .pwl file, the file name being the user name used when booting my computer. I want to get rid of that as well.)
