Machine won't boot with the USB plug in?

Hi...
Has anyone also had this problem? I would appreciate any input.
The machine won't boot when I have the USB plug in. It'll go to the bios screen and freeze. When I pull the USB plug out it boots normally. (note* the USB plug that I have in goes to a stand alone 60 gig USB drive.)

Hmmm your best bet, would be to double check and make sure your USB Card is in tight, if it's the USB port that came built into the computer, then I have no clue. lol If you can get into windows. Then try re-installing Drivers for it. They can usually be found on motherboard CD.

go thru your bios setting I assume this is onboard usb? check for anything like usb drive support or having it listed as a boot drive in the line up.
I had a zip drive with a fic ad11 board that had something like usb drive support or some damn thing. The only thing it could do is to have the zip drive in safe-mode as a generic removable drive. other than that it just caused problem.
so look for any other usb settings other than the enable usb.
other than that I guess just don't have it plugged in at boot up.
