I am very very low in Hd space (182gb), I have Me. My computer is running slow. I am not running alot of programs to be running out of memory. My easy cd creator takes awhile for it to open comparing to other prorams I have. Does my Hd space being low have to do with my computer running slow???
Help please

You only have 128mb. Since you do not have much hdd space left, I would guess that windows is saving hdd space by using less for virtual memory. This would slow down your system.

Also, Celerons are slow running multiple applications.

You can read these recommendations hundreds of times on this forum (because they are all good suggestions):
1. free up more hdd space
2. add more memory
3. get rid of any spyware (run adaware and spybot)
4. get rid of other unneeded background apps

Good Luck

I meant I have 188mb of free hd space and I have 37.2 out of 40gb hd.

I have ADaware and I scan my comp. but for some reason pop ups keep showing up even though im not on Kazaa or on the internet. When I leave my comp unattended pop ups are everywhere. Any advice???

Download and install spybot. It will find things adaware won't.

Open spybot and download the updates from within spybot. Then run the program. If you installed kazaa, removing the spyware will prevent the program from running. DO it and get kazaa lite.

I cant seem to find Kazaa lite. I checked download.com and they dont have it, I checked Kazaalite.com and I think its temporary out of order. Where else can I get it?

Go through this list of Windows ME Fixes and see if it helps. Also, remove your old AD-Aware program and download and install the new version 6.0 out this week.

188Mb of free space is far too little for the system to operate properly. You will have to free up space by deleting things, turning down the amount of space allocated to system restore, emptying your temporary internet files directory and archiving stuff you don't really need. Have a look at the homepage link on this response, too.

Consider buying another hard drive - you can get really good deals.

Go to Google and search for Kazaalite ver. 1.72. Install it and run ad-aware. Then whenever you run kazaalite and it asks you to update to ver 2.02 always choose no.
