Recently I have lost my games that came with my comp. They were found in "start\programs\accessories\Entertainment\Games"
I tried to search by doing start\settings\control panel\add remove programs\windows set up, then clicked the box next to "Games" But i get a popup that says: "The file 'bckg.chm was not found.
Windows needs the disk labeled 'Windows Millennium Edition' to continue" I only have the disk labeled "Reinstallation CD WMe" Will this work? It says on the disk only to use to reinstall the OS not for reinstalling of programs or drivers. PLEASE help. I also can't find "paint" anymore.Nettie

Chances are it's just the shortcuts that have gone - why? might mean more investigation. But start by clicking 'Start/Run & typing mspaint in the box - this should start the Paint program - if it doesn't then post back. If it does, go to Windows Explorer & navigate to c:\Windows\System32 In here you'll find Paint & your MS games, just drag & drop the appropriate icons to your desktop, or to the start button & the links will be recreated. If you need to know particular filenames then post back - eg Solitaire is sol.exe

johnr...I found that somehow my WIN_9.CAB is missing!!!! How did that happen is beyond me. What can I do about that? I have searched all my disks that came with the comp and I don't see a disk I can use to reinstall the CAB file.
