Mike, my Audio CDs don't auto start now, and i went to install my Nero Software and several other auto start CDs, but no, they don't auto execute start.

the other day, a pop up message "popped up" saying something about "you should turn Auto CD Start OFF, as this may blah blah blah". So without reading the pop-up fully i stupidly clicked "OK" (not realising what i was clicking for. lol). It was from that point i must have disabled CDRom CD Auto start.

so how do i get it back ??

thanks

I'm more familiar with W98 but would assume there is something similar on ME.

On W98 you do this:

Go to Device Manager. You either right click My Computer/Properties, or go to Control Panel/Settings.

Once you are there your will see CD-ROM in the list. Open this up (double click) to whatever CD-ROM you want to reset and then go to the Settings tab.

Put a tick in the entry "Auto Insert Notification".

Hope this is near enough to work out the ME equivalent (it might even be the same as 98).
