Toshiba Laptop u 405d - s2846 about 1 year old with ME I get the the Leading Innovation screen it tell me press F2 or F12 and no more locks up cant boot or anything ???

If your comp is a year old then you would have had to install ME on it yourself which would probably have been quite a feat. I suggest you post in a different forum (Vista?) and see if you can get some help.

Because the machine came with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 installed on it.

There is little chance that laptop will even work with Me. I doubt any drivers exist for that thing.

I doubt it will either but as soon as he post in there, he will be inundated with posts asking him why he is posting in the Vista forum when he is running Win ME. This has nothing to do with Vista.
