I am trying to network a Dell Desktop running Windows 98 and a Dell Inspiron 8000 Laptop with Windows ME. The Linksys WUSB11 wireless adapter works fine on the desktop. I have tried both a card (WPC11) and the USB adapter (WUSB11) on the laptop with Windows ME. They both have the same problem: When I logon, I get a message "There are no Wireless Network Adapters installed, so the Configuration Utility will quit". On the Device Manager it says that the adapter is working properly. I have followed all of the installation instructions, and repeated them several times. Since the problem occurred with both the card and the USB port, it probably is not a hardware problem. I have spent many hours on this, and Linksys support has been useless.
Any suggestions?

How did you go about networking the two computers? Use IPX/SPX, or the networking wizard? Have proper protocalls and configurations? How about the router settings?
