hi
i downloaded limewire..the first 2 times it was missing files when i tried to extract and run...so i found another source and downloaded w/ no problems....
now, limewire can do everything but download...i can search, play, etc...but when i click on a song to download, nothing happens...no message nothing..
i thought i removed the previous limewire that was missing files completely...could that be the problem? any suggestions?

Can you use system restore to get back to a time before you first tried the install? Maybe use CCleaner to remove all traces & reinstall?
If you're behind a router or firewall- you may need to open the ports the program requires?

Maybe you picked up some adware/spyware/virus with that P2P cr*p? You often will get unexpected "gifts" this way.
You can avoid many of these Windows problems with Linux. Linspire eases the transition for new users
