I recentley just bought a CD writer ( LG GCE-8160B) and I need to upgrade it to Windows ME. If you can find a driver please contact me.

no drivers are needed for windows-me
it is supported by windows-me.
in the above post ,I put a link for a dos driver.

I am running the 8120b the above post is correct..there is no driver necessary.Me will recognize the drive as a cdrom drive in device manager.The burner functions as a result of the burner software that you choose to install.If you are using ez cdcreator ,install the version that shipped with the burner,go to roxios website and download the v4.05 update.Any earlier versions are not too compatible with Me,but you must install the oe version that shipped with the unit before doing the update.Good luck.

I have LG CED-8120B , which I installed on my system running Windows Me . I was a little worried because it was a inexpensive unit and was waiting for problems to happen . To my surpise I have been impressed with this unit , I've burned a couple of Music CD's using the EastCD Creator , I did do the update off the web site to ver4.05.
The CD's are clear and sound quality is great!
