Hi,
I'm about to max out my ram (to 512), but this will involve adding a third PC133 SDRAM 128 stick to the 256 and 128 sticks I already have. If I was to get a 256 stick instead however, would there be any improvement in speed (by using 2 equally sized sticks instead of 3)? I realise this is dependent on manufactuer, etc., and I would rather just get the 128 stick to save money, but I'd be willing to spend more for a 256 if I thought performance would be improved...

There are some conditions, advantages, disadvantages
If you have limited RAM slots, and decide later to add "a bunch" lower value "sticks" may have to come out--wasted money. You must be sure that any more than one stick is compatible with the other(s)
Be sure that the motherboard supports whatever you put in there.
However, using two small sticks, instead of one larger--
may sometimes make it easier to troubleshoot problems. If you suspect RAM is the problem, you can pull first one, then the other, and test.
Also, of course, if some RAM DOES fail, you could pull the one stick--hopefully with the failed RAM, and either buy another, or live with reduced RAM.

Ok, thanks... I think I'll take a chance with a 128 stick for the moment and avoid "wasted money" as you say!
