want to upgrade current ME o/s to XP, is ther going to be a problem for me with e current drivers? my laptop is a COMPAQ PRESARIO 1200.
don't want to upgrade to find more probs than before........ suggestions????????

Go to one of the XP upgrade websites, like PC World and run a scan to see what hardware/software compatibility problems you will have. You will need to get some more RAM, as 68 is not enough for XP. If your laptop is working good for you, use the experts advise and leave things alone. Take care and all the best!

Summary: Dan, Don't do it unless there are some compelling reasons to do so. You may have to go hunting for some XP drivers and spend hours trying to get stuff to work (if ever). I know many upgrade from ME t...
