After attempting to install Palm Pilot Sync software on a WinME laptop, its all gone downhill. The installation stopped responding and had to be killed. Since then, the laptop blue screens upon bootup. "An error has occured, hit ctrl-alt-delete to restart." "Error: 0D : 34F : 00003A25" if that helps any. Hitting return at this point fills the screen with white dots and a blinking underline cursor, and stops there.

Also, it cannot even get into safe mode. Attempting this causes the screen to flicker a few times, then shuts itself off.

Any ideas?

Based on your spelling and grammar, you are too far away from being a forum pro. Make it easy to understand next time...

The palm pilot connects via USB if that makes any difference. I did reboot with it plugged in and unplugged; no difference.

got the right updated drivers?
PS i used to get loads of blue screens of death for everything coz there was so much junk around...
if you're getting annoyed and a slow computer, reformat HD and start again. sounds a bad plan, but it doesnt take long, save ur essential files over a network and hurrah, i havent had a BSD since!

Well, getting in to update USB drivers is moot at this point, since it can't get into Windows at all. :) It is a Dell Inspiron 5000 btw. Will probably just backup the user data and reinstall today. Thanks for the help though.

Rob, wawa writes like this - it's abit like old English. A tip is to imagine the commas and fullstops. Very unique actually IMO.

does no one think maybe wawa should possibly learn 'modern english'? No, actually, I think we should all start to learn old English just for him.

Y'all think you could grow up a bit? English is not everyone's primary language, and his posts were more informative than your 3rd-grade insults.

I was merely asking if someone could help me understand his question so i could help me out. Granted english isnt everyone's first language, and that has no affect whatsoever with my support.
I do not appreciate AxL's comments.
Cheers
