I have an Extra Moniter that i hooked upto my laptop but it shows me the same screen thats on my laptop. i would like it to show an extra area to the right of whats on my laptop. you know the same background but that all that shows. some one help!!! Thnx J

That would take a second video adapter. Kind of hard to do in a laptop.

Not nessessarily. Some video cards built into laptops will allow the external monitor to display the splitt screen mode. Go to Control Panel, and double click on the display icon. Click on the settings tab and then the advanced button. Look around in the different properties tabs and see if you can enable the split screen mode.
