i have a Compaq LTE 5300 which i have installed windows me onto. Which runs very well i might add. thing is, advanced power management is giving me hell. i need this feature enabled. in the cmos it is enabled and worked under 95 and 98se just fine. after installing windows me clean, or upgrading from 98, it still appears as disabled; even after i enable it and reboot.
it also does not list 'composite power source' or 'APM Slot Battery' when in normal mode. however, when i reboot into safemode they are there in device manager enabled. even after doing a hardware detection it cannot detect them.
