I am new to this so forgive me... After hearing all the concerns about klez I scanned my computer with McAffee and it came up with nothing. Out of curiosity I did a search for any text with "klez" and my computer showed some movie files, mp3 files, and wave files as well as user.dat. Should I be concerned and if so what do I do about it? All of your help will be most appreciated.

Go to http://housecall.antivirus.com/, and run the free "scan w/o registering". If klez is present on your PC,They will detect it,and lead you to/thru the fix.If you do have it,make sure you follow their instructions carefully.

Dan, In most Microsoft OS's there are files that do have the concurrent letters klez. So no thats not a problem. This is especially true in Windows ME. The house call works about 50% of the time on klez. Make sure your Macafee is fully updated. But the easiest way to fix klez is to go to symantec.com and download the EZ fix. Follow the instructions, it is very easy. In all of the cases of Klez here at the shop (about 35 or so) it has worked every time. Brandon
