When I am working in a program such as bearshare I will get an error that pops up saying kernel32.dll. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Hi Pam
The Kernel is the DOS part of windows, and windows is the shell GUI ( graphical user interface ) basically using graphics to execute DOS commands a dll is a direct link line, It could be that you have removed a program and have not uninstalled properly all I can suggest is that you remove bearshare and reinstall it to see if this cures your problem if not just reinstall windows back on it self.

Bearshare is not a well written program. I have seen tons of messages about it all over the boards. It also contains spyware which is reporting your browsing habits back to the people that made the product. This "feature" is most likely causing your errors.
I would strongly suggest you attempt to remove this program. I say attempt because this is where most people find themselves in pickle. But if you find an uninstaller, remove the program.

Plus, bear share pretty much sux, try kazaa or morpheous. I too have had the kernel error and what I have found out is that restoring fixes it, the other alternative is formatting, but restoring I think is your best bet.

When i log into Yahoo, the message error
Ypager kernell 32dll comes up and can not continue on, when i ex off it shuts down yahoo. How can i fix that to not get that error anymore?

I am so anoyed with this stupid KERNEL32.DLL!
I use Cable Internet and it comes up mostly when I am using Internet Explorer.
If Anyone knows how to get rid of it for good send me and Email with details.
Thanks!

i also have tons of probs with kernel32.dll...mostly when i use the task bar to change to a different internet explorer window.
first of all ie freezes when i try to change to a different window, i use ctrl-alt-del to exit, and all of my little programs that sit next to my clock quit as well (yahoo/msn messenger, post-it, encarta quickshelf etc).
if ie freezes again (which it often does), then i get a kernel32 error, and everything disappears from my computer, except for my bkgrd and pointer (which makes a funny buzzing sound as i move it across the screen) and i have to turn off my computer to restart it.i have tried reinstalling everything, but it doesn't make a difference.
i have read heaps of stuff about the taskbar and kernel32, but nothing matches my problem.
any ideas?? please....!
