Just got my computer back from after having it fixed because of a problem with some spyware. I tried to open Kazaa this evening and I got this error msg. "Couldn't load library TopSearch.dll" I then decided just to try and remove the program completely, but when I tried to uninstall it, I got this msg. "Error loading C:\Windows\System\cd_clint.dll Perhaps my Ad-Aware program caused the problem? Any help gratefully appreciated. Thanks :)

You assumption is correct. Open Adaware and restore the spyware files that you authorized when you downloaded and installed Kazaa. Then either uninstall Kazaa, or learn to live with its packaged spyware. Good luck!

If you decide to uninstall Kazza and still have trouble removing it try "kazaabegone" from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3446 to get rid of all traces of KAZAA.

I'd find another way to download. There's always resources or POV's. It might take a bit of work, but I think you might have some friends. I wouldn't use the commercial crop or crap now. With the amount of plumbing available, I wouldn't do it. It's your 'puter. There's always another way.

If you still have the kazaa install file in "my shared folder" then reinstall the program...that will replace the missing files if they were deleted from ad-aware. Now you will be able to uninstall it if you want and clean up with ad-aware again...and try kazaa lite. Just remember to move the files from "my shared folder" cus on uninstall they all get deleted. And last but not least...If you have to use p2p programs...update your antivirus daily!!! Kazaa is like totally infested with viruses/trojans/worms. Scan those files to death! Keep in mind anyone can rename a file....dont depend on recognizing icons. Someone can rename imavirus.exe to funny movie.mpeg....the icon will look like windows media player file and you would never know the difference...just something to keep in mind.
